To the Parents of the Class of 2011 - - Earlier in the year I planned individual conferences for the parents of the junior class. Because our master schedule and budget are still in question, I will be presenting an information night in the Colusa High School Library. The presentation will include:
· Evaluation of high school transcripts
o High School graduation requirements
o CSU/UC requirements
· Community College Information
· Vocational Education
· Senior Year
o Important Dates
· NCAA
· ACT/SAT
· Discussion of classes for next year
The presentation will be given three nights from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Monday, February 22nd in English
Tuesday, February 23rd in Spanish
Wednesday, February 24th in English
Please call Gay Seaver in the counseling office to reserve your spot for the presentation night. If you would like to make an individual counseling appointment with me, you can do so by signing up at the presentation night or calling me in the counseling office. |

FREE ONLINE SAT TUTORIAL
CSU Chico Cal-SOAP is providing our students an Official SAT Online Course free of charge. This is a unique opportunity, as each course typically retails for $70.00. This Online course should be done a few months ahead of taking the SAT. We have 60 Student Accounts available until September 16, 2010. Please come to the counseling office to receive your individually-coded, account card; they include the necessary instructions. |

AP EXAM SIGN UPS
Students planning to take AP Exams need to sign up in the counseling office. The cost of each AP Exam is $78.00. Please make your check out to Colusa High School. The exam dates are as follows:
May 3rd – AP Government
May 4th – AP Spanish
May 5th – AP Calculus
May 6th – AP English
Strong performance on AP Exams is rewarded by colleges and universities worldwide. With qualifying AP Exam scores, you can earn credit, advanced placement or both at more than 90 percent of colleges and universities in the United States AP Test money is due to the counseling office by Friday, February 12th. |
