Woodland Community College Field Trip (March 11) – The bus will be leaving promptly at 8:00a.m. Please bring a snack and money for lunch. Since the WCC presentation ends at 1:00 p.m., we will be stopping for lunch on the way home. |

JUNIORS: Nordstrom is offering a scholarship for Juniors. Five students in Northern California will be awarded $10,000 to be paid over four years in equal installments of $2,500. If you will be attending a four year college or university and have a GPA of 2.7 or higher, please see Linda in the Counseling Office for more details of this scholarship. Deadline is May 15, 2010. |

Important Information for JUNIORS
March 25th is the Registration deadline for the May 1st SAT and/or Subjects Test.
March 5th is the Registration deadline for the April 10th ACT
REMEMBER – If you are planning to go to a CSU you must take either the SAT Reasoning or ACT at least once but twice is recommended and encouraged. The UC’s require the SAT Reasoning and Two SAT Subjects Test. Do not sign up to take Math 1c because the UC’s will not accept it. Math IIc - - it is better to wait until Pre-calculus or Trig. Is completed. |

“Senior Saturdays”
Sacramento City College will be hosting “Senior Saturdays” on their main campus. These events will offer high school seniors the opportunity to complete in ONE DAY, all steps in the “Getting-In” or matriculation process at SCC. From New Student Orientation to Assessment Testing (including the essay portion, if needed) to Course Advising Workshops with SCC Counselors, students who successfully participate in a Senior Saturday event will have everything they need for a successful start at SCC. Importantly, they will also receive priority registration for the Fall 2010 term! Students must apply to SCC first to obtain their student ID#.
